Hello Jan,

Thank you for the Blog2print recommendation…I have wanted to turn our blog into a book so I will look into it. Have a great time in Bhutan…it is an amazing place and we loved our experience with Bridge to Bhutan. – Julie

I am currently planning a Bhutan trip with Lotay, so I saw your blog on FB.
I just wanted to make sure you knew that you could turn your blog into a printed book at blog2print.com. You probably know about this already, but it would be such a great keepsake for your family. I’ve made books of my posts in the past, and it’s fun to have on the coffee table. If you do this, make sure to keep your fabulous photos in the large size, so they will be printed well. Some of mine were too small in a recent book. Best, Jan

Hello Rachel,

Here is a link to how we packed: https://www.earthtrekkers.com/rtw-packing-list/ . This should answer some of your questions. I published this article before leaving for the trip so it is not entirely accurate but does give the basics. I plan on updating this in the near future. We used a Canon 5D Mark iii camera with 24-70mm lens as well as a Panasonic Lumix point and shoot camera. Knowing English helped us everywhere. There were only a few places were we struggled to communicate (China was the main one). We all carried backpacks. It was so much easier carrying these on our bags than rolling luggage through the uneven streets of many places we visited. Stay tuned for the updated packing post…what we really used, didn’t really need, and couldn’t live without.

– Julie

May I ask what camera you used for all these pictures? How about language ? Do you guys used bag pack or suitcase? I always wonder how anyone prepare what clothes to bring for a year long trip. Love to see a post on Per trip planning trip.

Thanks
Rachel
